PATRICK INDUSTRIES PARTNERS WITH HORIZON EDUCATION ALLIANCE:

PROVIDES ELKHART COUNTY MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS HANDS-ON MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE

ELKHART, INDIANA, October 4, 2021 – Patrick Industries is partnering with Horizon Education Alliance and local middle schools to celebrate Manufacturing Day 2021. Area students will visit Patrick facilities, talk with business leaders, tour the manufacturing plants, and even do hands-on projects.

Manufacturing is essential to the Elkhart economy. According to Indiana Workforce Development 2020, manufacturing is the largest area of employment for Elkhart County workers.

“The manufacturing industry in Elkhart County is growing, and it’s important to us that we invest in the next generation and get them excited about the career opportunities available,” says Patrick President Jeff Rodino.

On Tuesday, October 5, West Side Middle School students will visit Aluminum Metals Company, a company within the Patrick family of brands. Students from other middle schools will also visit four other Patrick companies throughout October.
